FAQ

Q

Will a ceiling fan light make noise during operation? How to avoid noise issues?

A
High-quality products produce low noise, while low-quality ones are prone to noise. Under normal circumstances, the noise of the fan should be ≤30 decibels (close to ambient sound) when running at low speed, and ≤45 decibels (does not affect normal conversation) when running at high speed. To avoid noise, pay attention to three points: first, choose products with pure copper motors, which have better stability; second, ensure the downrod is firmly fixed to the ceiling during installation to avoid resonance caused by looseness; third, clean the fan blades regularly to prevent uneven force and noise due to dust accumulation.
Q

Is the lighting brightness of a ceiling fan light sufficient, and can it replace the main ceiling light?

A
It depends on the lighting power and space requirements. Currently, the lighting power of mainstream ceiling fan lights ranges from 24W to 60W (mostly LED light sources). A 24-36W model is suitable for 10-15 square meter spaces (such as bedrooms) and can replace the main ceiling light; a 40-60W model is suitable for 15-25 square meter spaces (such as living rooms). If the space has high brightness requirements (e.g., for reading or working), it is recommended to add auxiliary light sources (such as wall lamps or floor lamps). Models with a power lower than 20W usually only serve as ambient lights and cannot replace the main ceiling light.
Q

Can the wind power of a ceiling fan light meet the cooling needs in summer?

A
It depends on the room area and usage scenario. For small to medium-sized spaces (such as bedrooms and studies) of 10-20 square meters, choosing a model with an air volume of 300-500 m³/h can effectively reduce the perceived temperature by 3-5°C when combined with air circulation, meeting daily cooling needs. However, for large spaces over 25 square meters (such as living rooms and open balconies), the wind power of a single ceiling fan light may be insufficient. It is recommended to use it with an air conditioner or multiple ceiling fan lights to avoid poor local cooling effects.
Q

Is there a height requirement for installing a ceiling fan light?

A
Yes, there are clear requirements. Generally, the minimum ceiling height for installation is no less than 2.7 meters. If the ceiling height is lower than 2.4 meters, the rotating fan may easily cause a sense of oppression, and there may be safety hazards (such as the risk of human contact). For spaces with a ceiling height of 2.7-3 meters, it is recommended to choose a model with a downrod length of 10-15 cm; for spaces with a ceiling height exceeding 3 meters, a longer downrod can be used (subject to the adaptation of the ceiling fan light model) to ensure that the fan blades are 2.2-2.5 meters above the ground,
